In consideration of being permitted to lease a watercraft and/or equipment (any equipment) from Lessor, Lessee or signer further agree(s).

Violation of these rules and conditions can result in the loss of your deposit.


We do not allow for cancellations or refunds, as Wake2Wake sails in rain or shine. However, in instances of severe weather, you are welcome to reschedule at no additional cost up to one time within 12 months of your reservation at a mutually agreed upon date. There will be no refunds for leased watercraft and/or equipment returned early, and, that all leased watercraft and/or equipment is due in at Wake2Wake at designated check in location no later than one hour before sunset. Lessee(s) further agree that no refunds or discounts, will be given due to weather.


To keep said watercraft and/or equipment in a safe place and not to leave leased watercraft and/or equipment unattended;

Not to allow the operation of watercraft and/or equipment in a negligent, careless, or needlessly rough manner or in violation of any laws, ordinances, or regulations; Lessee(s) further agree and understand it is SOLELY the responsibility of lessee(s) and/or all operators and/or boat drivers to know and obey all Florida State Boating Laws & Regulations. Lessee(s) further agree it is the responsibility of the Pilot and/or Operator and/or Boat driver to understand operation of leased watercraft and/or equipment and not the responsibility of Wake2Wake Boat Rental or its staff.

To pay for all damages to and losses of watercraft and/or equipment during the term of this lease agreement,

To return to Wake2Wake at designated boat ramp or dock for any & all lease watercraft fuel needs.


To pay the Lessor replacement cost of any and all rented and/or leased equipment including watercraft, towables, trailers, motors, ladders, propellers, railing, bimini sun tops, anchors, and any and all parts, assemblies, and pieces of equipment or items rented or leased by lessee from Wake2Wake Boat Rental upon demand by Wake2Wake Boat Rental if rented items are damaged or excessively worn in anyway.

To pay any and all attorney’s fees and court costs associated with collecting repair and/or replacement costs of said leased watercraft and/or equipment.

Lessee(s) further agree to operate watercraft and/or equipment at a safe distance from watercraft or obstacle, and to maintain a minimum of 200 feet safe operating distance from any skiing, swimming, or other activity.

Lessee(s) further agree that they understand that the border to the North of the intercoastal is St. Augustine inlet at Historical Downtown St. Augustine at San Marcos Fort and to the South is the Matanzas Inlet.

Lessee(s) further agree and understand that only minimal watercraft operation instructions will be provided by Wake2Wake Boat Rental and its staff.


Lessee(s) further agree that it is the responsibility of the Lessee(s) to acquire or collect and make available during their voyage all the necessary informative instruction, laws, regulations, and guidelines to persons on board the watercraft.


I AGREE to 1-11 OF RULES AND CONDITIONS:  _____________________________


  • All operators are responsible for maintaining compliance with Florida boating laws and regulations. A copy of Florida Boating Laws and Responsibilities is on board your boat before you begin your voyage.


  • LIFE JACKETS REQUIRED: One life vest (PFD) per person (minimum) & one throwable PFD MUST BE ON BOARD. These are provided at no additional cost. Florida statues: CHILDREN 8 YEARS OLD AND UNDER MUST WEAR PFD AT ALL TIMES - it’s your responsibility to have this equipment on board before you begin your voyage.


  • DO NOT ALLOW PASSENGERS TO RIDE FORWARD OF THE FRONT RAIL GATE or on the bow (FRONT OF BOAT). There is no escaping death by propeller if one falls off the front of a pontoon boat. Keep all gates closed when motor is running.


  • DO NO ALLOW PEOPLE TO SWIM NEAR REAR OF BOAT. DO NO SWIM AROUND MOTOR. The propeller will KILL.


  • Watch in all directions for other boats, boaters, swimmers, and obstacles. Ask passengers to help keep watch also. Always give others the right of way.


  • Familiarize yourself with your chart. Have chart on board with you and reference it. Know where you are at all times. Know departure/return location. Follow channel markers on the boat’s GPS.


  • OFF LIMIT AREAS: Do no go near the Public Beach areas for any reason (State Law). No Entering or Beaching in the Atlantic.


  • Operator MUST OBSERVE BOAT HEIGHT & CLEARANCE before going under bridges. Proceed slowly with caution.


  • SPEED LIMITS: KEEP IT SLOW when entering and departing from dock area. Proceed with caution, speed zones vary. Watch for NO WAKE ZONES and MANATEE ZONES.


  • NO GRILLING OR COOKING ON BOARD. NO FIRES ON BOARD BOAT. NO RED WINE.


  • WHEN IN SHALLOW WATER raise motor. Keep propeller and anti-cavitation plate under water.


  • Raise and retract LADDER before starting motor and when in shallow water. Ladders bend or break easily.


  • KNOW HOW TO START YOUR MOTOR. Be sure motor is tilted down so propeller & anti-cavitation plate or submerged. Start motor with throttle in Neutral and Kill Switch lanyard is plug in and attached to driver’s wrist.


  • Check your fuel gauge. Use non-ethanol fuel only. It is the operator’s responsibility to maintain fuel level awareness from voyage beginning to safe return.


  • Know your return time before leaving. Wake2Wake Boat Rental operates on Eastern Daylight Savings time. Your return time is recorded on your rental agreement. For every 15 minutes past return time, you will be charged $25.00; after 1 hour you will be charged the Full Daily Rate.


  • NO SMOKING while on the Boat.


  • NO PETS permitted on the Boat.


  • NO SHARP OBJECTS on seats.

  • NO FISHING ON BOARD.

  • When raising and lowering BIMINI TOP, come to a complete stop.


  • DO NOT BEACH BOAT. Stop boat at least 15ft from beach, shut off engine, lift engine, drop anchor from front of boat; guests are now welcome to unload items and passengers onto beach.


  • DO NOT START BOAT WITH PROPELLER OUT OF WATER!


  • DO NOT BEACH Pontoon, Nose first, come to stop before shoreline, turn off engine, raise engine, drop anchor off the front of boat, keep engine away from land at all times.


  • Come to complete stop when adjusting Bimini top, keep top all the way down or all the way up.


  • Stay in between channel markers, favor Right side

                                  The Damage Deposit


A damage deposit of $500.00 will be collected for each watercraft rented.  During the return process, (docking, fueling and cleaning), a Wake2Wake representative will inspect the watercraft for damage.  The deposit will be applied toward the cost of the repairs of any and all damages suffered to the watercraft.  If the cost of damages exceeds the damage deposit, Lessee agrees he/she is fully responsible for the remainder of the costs incurred to repair or replace the watercraft to the same condition as the time the rental agreement was started.   Furthermore, the Lessee understand and agrees that he/she who is known to Wake2Wake as the Operator, is the only person allowed to use the watercraft for the entire rental period.  The Operator also understands that he/she is responsible for the retrieval and/or replacement of the watercraft, life jackets or any safety items, if these items are in any way lost, stolen or misplaced during the rental period.  Should any damages exceed the $500 damage deposit, Wake2Wake will provide an itemized repair bill.  This repair bill, including lost rental time, and reasonable attorneys’ fees must be paid in full upon presentation of the bill to User.  User shall be responsible for damages at and beyond the $500 damage deposit.

Condition of Boat upon Return


The Lessee shall return the Boat to Wake 2 Wake Boat Rental on or before the termination date and at the specific location clean and free of garbage and debris, in the same condition in which the boat was rented, including all parts, accessories, rigging and condition of fiberglass, with ordinary wear and tear being acceptable.

Late Return / Cleaning Fee


If the boat is returned after the agreed return time, a Fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes will apply, unless other arrangements are made.  If the boat is returned excessively DIRTY or SANDY there will be a $75 cleaning fee.


Lessee has read and understands all of the terms, conditions, and rules set forth above, and agrees to all terms without reservation.  The information supplied on this agreement by Lessee(s) is true and correct.
